The EMS system is completely failed or someone is controlling it," NA 197 acting commissioner questioned the credibility and authenticity of the election management system. According to the details, there has been a big revelation regarding the election management system being developed to collect and compile the results of the general elections on February 8 across the country.

According to the report of Dawn newspaper, 2 election officials have identified flaws in the election management system. Assistant Commissioner Qamar and Returning Officer (RO) for National Assembly seat NA-197 (Qamar-Shahdad Kot-2) Abdul Qadir Mashuri and Assistant Commissioner Bikrani and R for Sindh Assembly seat PS-12 (Larkana-3) O Usman Khaskheli has written letters to his superiors, pointing out almost identical problems with EMS.

Abdul Qadir Mashuri's letter was written to District Returning Officer Qamber-Shahdad Kot on February 3 and was made public yesterday. In his letter, Abdul Qadir Mashuri said that the data related to the duties assigned to polling officers was uploaded on EMS which later disappeared. He wrote that this flaw in the system has created many problems that have raised questions about its credibility and authenticity.

The official expressed apprehension that the EMS system is completely out of order or that someone is controlling it. The RO claimed that the EC and NADRA officials have been verbally apprised of the concerns regarding EMS, but these complaints have not been redressed and both agencies have attributed the problems in the system to technical glitches. Later, Abdul Qadir Mashuri said that the problems he had pointed out were resolved later and he has informed about this in a follow-up letter.
