Judge Justice Ahmed Nadeem while passing judgment on the appeal filed against approval of the nomination papers of NA-119 of Pakistan Muslim League-N's senior vice-president Maryam Nawaz, dismissed the appeal and allowed Maryam Nawaz to contest the election.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Nadeem Sherwani filed an appeal against approval of Maryam Nawaz's papers. Today is the last day for decisions on appeals and the revised list of candidates by the Election Commission of Pakistan will be released on January 20 while the nomination papers can be withdrawn on January 22. The revised list of candidates will be published on January 11, as per the schedule, nomination papers can be withdrawn on January 12.
The Election Commission will allot election symbols to the candidates on January 13, while the general elections will be held on February 8 across the country.
