Appeals against approval of nomination papers of Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif were dismissed

Nawaz Sharif's nomination papers from NA-130, Shahbaz Sharif's NA-132 were declared valid, the decision of Justice Ahmed Nadeem Arshad of the Election Tribunal.







Appeals against approval of nomination papers of Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Nawaz Sharif and party president Shehbaz Sharif have been dismissed. According to the details, Justice Ahmed Nadeem Arshad of the Election Tribunal has given the verdict on the appeal against Nawaz Sharif's nomination papers. An appeal was filed.

Similarly, the appeal against approval of nomination papers of Shehbaz Sharif for NA-132 has also been dismissed, the Election Tribunal has declared the nomination papers of Shehbaz Sharif as valid. Moreover, the Appellate Tribunal of Lahore High Court rejected the appeal against approval of the nomination papers of Maryam Nawaz, chief organizer of Muslim League (N) from NA-119 constituency of Lahore.

Judge Justice Ahmed Nadeem while passing judgment on the appeal filed against approval of the nomination papers of NA-119 of Pakistan Muslim League-N's senior vice-president Maryam Nawaz, dismissed the appeal and allowed Maryam Nawaz to contest the election.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Nadeem Sherwani filed an appeal against approval of Maryam Nawaz's papers. It should be noted that the returning officer approved the nomination papers of Maryam Nawaz, chief organizer of Pakistan Muslim League (N). Nadeem Sherwani, a candidate from PTI's NA 119, filed an appeal in the Appellate Tribunal against the decision of the RO, which was rejected.

The Appellate Tribunal had reserved the decision regarding the approval of the nomination papers of Maryam Nawaz from Constituency NA 119. It should be clear that the appeal tribunals against the rejection of the nomination papers of the candidates by the Returning Officers (ROs) for the general elections 2023. Today is the last day for decisions on appeals and the revised list of candidates by the Election Commission of Pakistan will be released on January 20 while the nomination papers can be withdrawn on January 22. The revised list of candidates will be published on January 11, as per the schedule, nomination papers can be withdrawn on January 12.

The Election Commission will allot election symbols to the candidates on January 13, while the general elections will be held on February 8 across the country.
