WhatsApp introduced a YouTube-style feature

California: Meta's popular messaging app WhatsApp has delighted users by introducing a YouTube-style channel feature.

According to foreign media reports, WhatsApp has announced that it has rolled out the channel feature for users in 150 countries, which will be fully restored in the coming weeks.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced this feature through his WhatsApp channel.

He said that I am happy to introduce the channel feature, now users will be able to follow the channels of their favorite people and organizations to get updated information, I am starting my channel to share information related to meta.

Remember that in June this year, WhatsApp introduced the above-mentioned feature only to users in Colombia and Singapore, which was later restored in 7 other countries as well.

The special feature of this feature is that no one else will know about the channels followed by the user and similarly the channel operator will not have access to the user's phone number or other information.

In the coming weeks, users will have a directory to search for channels based on country. When users share an update from a channel to a group or individual, it will include a link to the channel.
