Capco has requested a tariff from Rs 28 80 to Rs 77 31 paise per unit.

It has been reported that the Kot Addu Power Company with a production capacity of 1345 MW takes capacity payment ranging from 228 MW to 347 MW, the production tariff includes a capacity payment of Rs 5 37 paise per unit. Kot Addu Power Company produces electricity from Gas, Furnace Oil, Diesel and LNG. Nepra has announced that a hearing will be held on October 3 on the Kot Udu power reduction application, in which a decision will be taken to approve or reject the application.

It should be noted here that all the records of increase in the price of electricity have been broken in Pakistan during the last one and a half year, electricity has become more expensive by more than 100% during one and a half year. While according to many economists, the price of electricity per unit may exceed 90 rupees.
