A unique festival of its own in Saudi Arabia

Under the patronage of Prince Saud bin Nahar Al Saud, governor of Taif, the grape and pomegranate festival will start from Wednesday


The Grape and Pomegranate Festival in Saudi Arabia will begin on Wednesday under the patronage of Prince Saud bin Nahar Al Saud, Governor of Taif, which will be held at Al Huqair Park with various activities. According to Arab media, the aim of the fair is to highlight the diversity of seasonal agricultural products in Taif Governorate and to support farmers and encourage them to market their agricultural products, the festival will showcase grape and pomegranate crops and products. Along with this, the festival stage includes a variety of activities for four days.






Majid bin Abdullah Al-Khalif, Director General of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture Branch in Makkah said that the fair will be held under the supervision of the Ministry in Taif. He stressed the desire of the ministry to encourage them to increase, besides highlighting the importance of marketing their agricultural products through festivals.

Al-Khalif and Al-Qaadi said they appreciated the interest of the governor of Taif in the development of the agricultural sector, his support for encouraging measures to increase agricultural production and his sponsorship of the Taif Grape and Pomegranate Fair, which includes figs, cherries, grapes and pomegranates. Fruits are among the leading produce grown in Taif, roses, grown on more than 700 farms, are another leading export.
