Lahore High Court issued bailable arrest warrant of IG Islamabad

Ordered IG Islamabad to appear on September 18, issued an arrest warrant in the contempt of court case for not releasing Chaudhry Parvez Elahi despite being released from the court.

Lahore High Court has issued bailable arrest warrant of IG Islamabad for non-appearance in contempt of court case. According to media reports, Lahore High Court has issued bailable warrants for IG Islamabad, the court has ordered IG Islamabad to appear on September 18. An arrest warrant was issued.




The court has summoned IG Islamabad. The court issued a bailable arrest warrant against IG Islamabad for 50 lakhs. Justice Mirza Waqas Rauf issued a written decision on the petition of Qaisara Elahi, Qaisara Elahi filed a contempt of court petition for not bringing Parvez Elahi home safely.

It should be remembered that the IG Islamabad did not appear in the Lahore High Court even today despite the court order in the hearing on the contempt petition against not bringing the former Punjab Chief Minister Parvez Elahi home safely.

Parvez Elahi's wife Qaisara Elahi's contempt petition was heard by Justice Chaudhry Waqas Rauf. DIG Investigation and DIG Operations appeared before the Lahore High Court. The police officers filed their responses to the contempt of court show cause notice. Despite the summons, the IG Islamabad did not appear today, the court remarked that we did not find it appropriate to call the IG Islamabad in any other way.

IG Punjab conducted an inquiry into the matter on the order of the court and submitted a report. The public prosecutor told the court that SP Imran Aslam investigated the matter. According to the report, the police arrested Parvez Elahi under the law. The officers had fully complied with the order of the Lahore High Court. The government counsel requested that time be given to see the report and to see the responses filed by the two police officers. The Lahore High Court adjourned the hearing of the case till September 18.
