PIA's financial crisis continues, PSO cuts fuel supply

25 more flights canceled from across the country, flights from Karachi to Islamabad, Quetta, Bahawalpur, Lahore, Gwadar and Multan were canceled due to non-supply of fuel. 



KARACHI: Due to the financial crisis of the national airline (PIA), 25 flights from across the country have been canceled on Sunday, 16 flights from Karachi to different airports have been cancelled. According to media reports, the flight operation of the national airline has been severely affected due to which passengers are facing problems as the fuel supply from PSO has also been reduced, due to which 3 flights from Karachi to Islamabad have been canceled. 300, PK 308 and PK 340 were cancelled, 2 Islamabad Karachi flights PK 301 and PK 369 were cancelled, 2 Lahore to Karachi flights PK 303 and PK 307 were also cancelled.


                                 

Apart from this, 3 flights PK 302, PK 304 and PK 306 from Karachi to Lahore, while 6 flights to and from Karachi to Gwadar, Bahawalpur, Faisalabad have been cancelled, two flights to and from Muscat from Sialkot have also been cancelled. While 4 flights from Lahore and Islamabad to and from Quetta were cancelled, 2 from Islamabad to and from Jeddah and Flight PK 288 from Doha to Islamabad were cancelled.

On the other hand, the PIA pilot parked the plane wrongly at the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, due to which the passengers got stuck in the plane. The C system also shut down. Civil Aviation said in this regard that the captain of the aircraft had parked the aircraft wrongly and due to wrong parking the aircraft was pushed back and put on the boarding bridge due to the delay in installing the boarding bridge. The passengers were stuck in the plane because the boarding bridge was not fixed at the plane's gate.
