I joined.

On June 22, 2023, Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Ghulam Sarwar Khan announced to leave Tehreek-e-Insaf condemning May 9. Ghulam Sarwar Khan had said that I and my family have been in politics for almost 50 years. As far as the May 9 incident is concerned, as a Pakistani, the sacrifices of the Pakistan Army for the survival and security of Pakistan, the martyrs of the Pakistan Army, Attacking those memorials, attacking GHQ, attacking Corps Commander House, attacking Mianwali Base, those attackers are guilty of anti-nationalism, they did not attack GHQ, they attacked Corps Commander House. They did not attack, they attacked the heart of Pakistan, they attacked Pakistaniness, so I strongly condemn all those impure ambitions and impure actions.

Ghulam Sarwar Khan said that this is my demand as a patriotic Pakistani that such people should be punished. So the people who clashed with the institutions, I strongly condemn that confrontation and I disagreed with the policy of confrontation in every forum of the party that we should not confront, fight with the institutions. Don't do it. But because of what happened, bad, very bad, I announce separation from Tehreek-e-Insaaf. Later, the leader of Stabilization Pakistan Party Khurram Rokhri said that Ghulam Sarwar's involvement in IPP is in the final stages.
