There is good news regarding Pak-Iran gas pipeline

Islamabad: An important development has come out regarding the Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline project, both countries have agreed to build a consensus.






According to the details, Chairman Standing Committee for Petroleum Muhammad Abdul Qadir has said that in a big development, it has been agreed to increase active communication between the two countries on the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project until September 2024.

Mohammad Abdul Qadir said that the two countries will start regular communication with each other in 2 to 3 weeks, both countries want to complete the project in such a way that it is not affected by American sanctions.

He said that Pakistan is facing gas shortage but is importing expensive LNG to meet its needs.

It should be remembered that earlier during the negotiations, Iran maintained that the US sanctions do not affect the gas trade.
