The defense of England's champion in the World Cup 2023 is nearing completion.

The entire English team was bowled out for 156 runs in 33.2 overs. Sri Lanka's Lahiru Kumara dismissed 3 players, Angelo Mathews, Kisun Rajitha took 2, 2 wickets while Thakshana took one wicket.

Earlier, England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and decided to bat first. He said that 3 changes have been made in the team, Liam Livingston, Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes are part of the playing eleven while Harry Brook, Atkinson, Reece Topley have been rested.

On this occasion, Sri Lankan captain Kaushal Mendis said that they want to maintain the winning streak with success in the match. No changes have been made to the team. The England squad includes captain Jos Buttler, Jonny Bairstow, David Mullan, Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Mark Wood, David Willey, Liam Livingston, Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes and Adil Rashid. The Sri Lankan squad consists of captain Kaushal Mendis, Patham Nissanka, Kaushal Perera, Sudira Samara Wickrama, Charith Asalinka, Dhananjaya de Silva, Angelo Mathews, Mahesh Thikshina, Kisan Rajitha, Dilshan Madhushanka and Lahiro Kumara.
