Peshawar Zalmi became the only team to defeat Multan Sultans in 2 consecutive matches, in pursuit of the target of 205 runs, the Multan team scored 200 runs.





Another sensational match of PSL 9, Peshawar Zalmi became the only team to defeat Multan Sultans in 2 consecutive matches. In the match being played at Pindi Cricket Stadium, Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam won the toss and decided to bat first. Saeem Ayub and Babar Azam opened Peshawar Zalmi's innings. A partnership of 84 runs was established between the two, but Saeem Ayub was bowled lbw by Osama Mir in the sixth over.

Saim Ayub batted aggressively and scored 46 runs off 22 balls which included five sixes and three fours. On behalf of Zalmi, Babar Azam was the top scorer by scoring 64 runs. Haseebullah Khan was dismissed for 31 runs and Asif Ali for 11 runs, while Romain Powell scored 23 runs and Aamir Jamal remained not out for 12 runs.
Peshawar Zalmi, batting first, scored 204 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

On behalf of Multan Sultans, Osama Mir dismissed 3 players while Chris Jordan took two wickets.
