Important News for Foreigners Traveling to Japan

Tokyo: The Japan Tourism Agency has revealed that there has been a record increase in expenses for incoming foreigners to Japan.

According to an official report from a foreign news agency, after the end of the global pandemic of coronavirus, there has been an increase in the number of foreigners coming to Japan from around the world.

According to initial figures from the Japan Tourism Agency, despite a significant increase in expenses for foreigners arriving in Japan, the influx of people continues.

The agency's report said that visitors from foreign countries spent about 14 trillion yen, or about 9.3 billion dollars, in the period from July to September, which is 17.7 percent more than the same period in 2019 before the pandemic. Is. Japanese officials say the average per capita spending was about $1,400.

Data released by Japan's National Tourism Organization reinforces this situation, estimating that the number of foreign visitors in September stood at 2.18 million. This is close to the number of the same month of 2019 before the pandemic.

According to the report, the total number of visitors in the month of September was around 2.18 million as against 2.27 million in the same month of 2019. Arrivals from China totaled 325,600, down about 11 percent from the previous month and 40 percent of the total for the same month four years ago. The result came as a surprise after Beijing lifted a ban on group tours to Japan a month ago.
