Most of the cases of non-standard eye injection Avastin have been reported in Multan. In a briefing given by the Drug Control Authority to the Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi, it was revealed that patients affected by eye injection Avastin from all over Punjab. The number has increased to more than 60.






Most of the cases were reported in Multan. The second number of sight loss cases were reported from Lahore. While cases were also reported from Khanewal, Sadiqabad and Rahim Yar Khan. All substandard injections were supplied from Lahore. Naveed A named supplier supplied the injections from Lahore. Sources say that the number of patients with affected eyes may increase further.

Caretaker Health Minister Dr. Nadeem Jan has said that the sale and supply of injection Avastin (Avastin) has been stopped. On Sunday, the Federal Minister said this after a meeting with Provincial Minister Primary and Secondary Health Care Punjab Dr. Jamal Nasir. Taking immediate action, it has been decided to withdraw Avastin injection from the market, which caused adverse reactions, it said.

The caretaker minister said that after receiving information about the adverse reaction of the injection Avastin from the affected patient, he immediately contacted the Punjab Health Minister. He said that a five-member committee consisting of senior doctors and experts has been formed which will investigate the matter from all angles and submit a report in three days.

Dr. Nadeem Jan said that I am in constant touch with the Punjab government and we will ensure that the matter is thoroughly investigated and action is taken against those responsible. The affected patients will be given proper care and All possible facilities will be provided to give them relief. Dr. Nadeem John further said that he has also discussed the dengue situation with the Punjab Health Minister.
